Vodacom Stormers Squad to tour Australia and New Zealand

Allister Coetzee, head coach of the Vodacom Stormers, today announced his touring squad of 26 players. The Vodacom Stormers depart for Australia on 29 March and play the Force in Perth on 2 April, the Blues in Auckland on 10 April, the Chiefs in Hamilton on 16 April and finally the Reds in Brisbane on 23 April.

 

The squad is as follows:

    Ok so no Joe because he is injured and no Blaauw. Quite surprised he left out Cronje. Wonder if Gio will play full back

    1 – Karen, I think Aplon played really well at FB on Saturday. He should start there. Blaauw is a huge loss. How is that Arg player Guinazu?

    Stormers should still do well on their tour.

    Good luck Stormers,if they can win 2 or 3 away games they have a serious chance of a home semi.

    Good squad, I feel sorry for Joe Pietersen… he has been a stand-out player!

    Good squad on the whole…pity about the injuries! I wouldve’ been tempted with Lionel Cronje ahead of Frikke Welsh or Juries…these 2 will only play bit parts anyway!! Please AC stick with Grant a t 10…play Dewaal off the bench!!

    Puma I know Gio had a good game at FB and I really feel sorry for Joe seeing he had an awesome season so far. Well now we have to wait and see what the results will be in the 4 games – GO STORMERS

    6 – Karen in while the team tours Peterson will get over that injury and will be rested. The season is still long. You will have him for the last part. For now Aplon is a brilliant replacement. I thought he played superb on Saturday.

    Also suprised that Cronje is not there. Pity.

    5 – Bokbafana, Think AC will start with Grant, though how good is Grant with kicks at posts?
