The Stormers host the Highlanders on Saturday at 17:05 SA Time, at Newlands, Cape Town. The match is broadcast on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA. Will the Stormers bounce back from the Brumbies loss and dismantle the Highlanders?

The Stormers are being watched with hawk eyes this season to see if they can deliver on the early promise they have showed  with a very good team. Schalk Burger is back in the team and as captain and we certainly expect them to perform this weekend. The weaknesses of the previous seasons have largely been ironed out, now is the time to deliver.

The Highlanders have just come off a win in Bloemfontein and something we have learnt through the years is never to underestimate a side from New Zealand.

They are however the “Ugly Stepsister” of the New Zealand sides and should to rights not worry the top sides in the competition.

I predict that the Stormers will turn last week around and put in a good performance…. Stormers by 10.

Stormers moet nou nie weer skande maak nie. Van nou af is elke tuis game ‘n moet wen, ander kan hulle vergeet van Semi’s

Just looking at the Stormers fixture list. They have to win this on and win it with a Bonus. They also face Canes next week with Canes full strength side back. So this is a must win for our 2nd best side so far.

Their last 5 games are going to be very tough. Blues in Auckland. Chiefs in Hamilton, Reds in Brisbane (Reds proved they are no push overs) Saders in CT, Sharks at the Tank. (Sharks may not be doing well, but a local derby is always tough) then they face Bulls at Newlands another local derby against the best saffa team and right now the best team in the tourney. So those last 5 games are tough ones.

So the way I see it for Stormers to make it. They must pick up 5 points tomorrow try to beat the Canes at Newlands, should beat the Cheetahs at Newlands and beat the Force in Perth. So if they beat the these teams their last 5 games then wont be as much pressure. Stormers just have to make it. Want to see two saffa sides in the semi. So far I only see Bulls as a definite then maybe Stormers.

So good luck Stormers get the win and bonus tomorrow.
