Western Province buried the hatches with referee Marius Jonker and the appointment of Jonker as referee for Saturday’s Curriecup game against the Lions at Coca-Cola park , is not a worrying factor anymore.
Jonker was last month not a popular man in the WP camp after a penalty count of 16-1 for the Free State-Cheetahs and the awarding of a penalty try in the dying moments of the game. Western Province lost the game 31-33.
“Marius flew down from Richards Bay to Cape Town on Monday and we worked through the video of the game,” said WP senior professional coach, Rassie Erasmus.
“We don’t see this an issue anymore, because it was resolved long time ago.” Jonker toldSport24 yesterday that he hope his decisions on Saturday would not become a point of discussion afterwards “I hope conversations after the game would be of good rugby played by both teams,” Jonker said.
He showed earlier this year that he was prepared to take big decisions, and became an unpopular man with both WP and the Lions. The Lions earlier this year were unhappy with Jonker in their match against Griquas in Kimberley after he failed to call on the TV-referee with a decision that could have led to a try for the Lions. The Lions lost the game 36-31. The Lions is of opinion that Jonker should have consulted the TV Referee before awarding a scrum.
Earlier this year in a Super14-match between the Lions and the Waratahs, Jonker ruled a pass from André Pretorius to Deon van Rensburg as being forward. This was also in the last minute and the Lions lost the game 33-38. Should the try have been awarded, the score would be 38-all, with the goal kick waiting on Pretorius.
It is not by chance that WP this week accentuated the break down point. WP coach Allister Coetzee said the lions loose trio is very good at the break down point. This might be true, but WP was penalised heavily by Jonker with the game against the Cheetahs at the break down points
“I refereed the game as I saw it. I do not pre-ref a game in my head. Myself and Rassie had a good chat and there is no drama. Both teams have good loose trio’s, so I expect healthy competition at the break down points again”

Die Lions kon in n beter posisie as die Cheaters gewees het, het die ref die games beter geblaas.
Die refs sal maar altyd ongewild wees. Kak job ( miskien lekker job, maar kak reputasie ) soos n Koeltekont ( spietkop ), prokurower, poliesman, munisipale werker et al.
Male Date-Drug
Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties & local pubs to
be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink by any woman.
Many females use a date-drug on the market called ‘Beer ‘ .
The drug is found in liquid form and is available anywhere. It comes in
bottles, cans, or from taps and in large kegs.
Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade
their male victims to go home and sleep with them.
A woman needs only to get a guy to consume a few units of Beer and then
simply ask him home for no-strings-attached sex.
Men are rendered helpless against this approach. After several Beers ,
men will often succumb to the desires to sleep with horrific looking
women to whom they would never normally be attracted.
After drinking Beer , men often awaken with only hazy memories of
exactly what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague
feeling that ‘something bad’ occurred.
At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life’s
savings, in a familiar scam known as ‘a relationship’ . In extreme
cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting
male into a longer-term form of servitude and punishment referred to as
‘marriage’.
Men are much more susceptible to this scam after Beer is administered
and sex is offered by the predatory females.

shocking encounter with similarly victimized men.
