IOC approves Golf and Rugby Sevens

Golf and Rugby Sevens have been approved as Olympic Sports for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio

Each sport received majority support after leading athletes and officials from both camps gave presentations – including a video message from Tiger Woods.

Woods had indicated he would play in the Olympics if golf was accepted for 2016.

    Good for rugby – but come – on – golf!!! There is more than enough tournaments!

    Wonder if Woods would be like the All Blacks, prominent in between Olimpics but never picking up a medal :rotfl:

    I received the following feedback:

    Only 12 reams will see the Olympics. Sevens will need a qualification system first. Good chance SA will be eliminated during the qualification rounds.
