Last night GBS was involved in a very serious game of ” onderwater blits skaak” between the Bulls and the defending Champions the Freestate. The scores were tied at 4-4 with GBS facing me in the final to win the Tikka Marsala Cup. I had GBS almost locked into a check mate scenario [ that is when the drinks bill must be paid for] when GBS, mistakenly, took a bottle Jeripigo to the bottom of the pool, instead of a bottle of oxygen. The poor man never surfaced for 11 [yes that is eleven] minutes while he tried to find a way out of the check mate [and paying the drinks bill]. He bravely surfaced in much need of oxygen [and a stomach pump]. He was rushed to the nearest ATM [to draw money as his credit card was left under a pawn] and then he was rushed home by his wife so that he could spend the day in bed recovering. The good news is that after listening to Die Blou Bull and Liefling GBS made a remarkable recovery and will be back on this site as our beloved [and much poorer] webmonster tonight. Please go easy on him as he is a little fragile.
For those interested: the Cheethas defended the Tikka Marsala Cup after GBS was red carded for throwing up in his opponents Queens crown.
