The medical news on Burger is that his ribs are still severely swollen and tender after his injury in the 67th minute of SA’s Tri Nations win against NZ last Saturday.
To make matters worse for the resurgent WP outfit, the injuries to Willem de Waal, Fondse and Newman have been confirmed as long term, which means they will not play any further part this season. Andries Bekker is still on the mend and will also miss Friday’s excursion to Potchefstroom.
The substantial vacuum left by Jean de Villiers will also be felt, but fortunately Juan de Jong has shown huge potential in midfield, and his pairing with Frikkie Welsh looked sharp and attacked with pace against the Cheetahs last weekend.
Ricky January will be rested this weekend. Allister Coetzee did not elaborate on what the cause of his fatigue was. It is doubtful whether his current form can justify displacement of the incumbent Dewaldt Duvenhage.
De Kock Steenkamp will fill the void left by Chris Jack in the engine room, and Tiaan Liebenberg will join Hilton Lobberts on the bench.
“We wanted to keep that continuity going,” Coetzee said at the media conference on Tuesday.
“Making a lot of changes at this stage can be disruptive. We are definitely looking to consolidate”

But it seems that you believe that Capies are an arrogant and unethical bunch – they count their chicken before they’re hatched, they steal other provinces players, they’re unpatriotic?
Have you ever seen any of the same character faults in other teams supporters and administrators?
And I’m no Bulls supporter – though many of my friends down here in Slaapstad are – but we all thoroughly enjoy cheering for the Bulls in the S14 when they play the OZ/NZ teams.
Do you also cheer for the Stormers when they play OZ/NZ teams in the S14?

Solank Van Zyl net onbeseer bly is dinge ok. Regtag jammer Fondse is weer beseer, maar dit lyk asof Anton en Andries ons slotte in die semi finales gaan wees.
Een speler wat elke week sy beste gee is Francois Louw. Gaan interessant wees om te sien wie maak plek vir Scalla?? En met Die Mechanic terug sit AC ook met ‘n kopseer. Hofmann is sy reserwe skrummie, maar ook geoormerk om oor te vat op losskakel sou Grant beseer raak. Nou, Die Mecahanic kan net (wel hy probeer tenminste) skrumhalf speel, en ek kan nie sien hoe hy bo Duvenhage kan plek kry nie. So wat maak jy nou met Hofmann?

Fender there is a site called Keo that i read everyday for two and a half years never posted, and what i saw of about 80% of the wp supporters was enough to put most people of them and embarrass the normal folks.

Ek bly in die WesKaap, het op die platteland grootgeword en gaan gereeld Nuweland toe. Ek kuier meeste van die tys vor en na die games in en om die stadion, en oor die algemeen is WP supporters van die kleurrykstes en karaktervolste mense wat ek al tee gekom het. En dan natuurlik het ons iets wat oues in die ander provinsies nie het nie…….kultuur… 😆

This is all true, think you have “THOSE TYPES” of supporters in all the provinces…… once one can discern between the good and bad apples you will be fine, just dont get drawn into anything with “THOSE TYPES”
