The Vodacom Blue Bulls’ prop Werner Kruger as well as their centre Wynand Olivier have picked up injuries against the Boland Cavaliers in Wellington on Saturday.

Kruger had to leave the field in the first half due to a rib injury and Olivier struggled with an ankle, but Dr Org Strauss is optimistic that both will recover in time for Saturday’s clash at Loftus Versfeld against the Free State Cheetahs.
Olivier’s Springbok team mate, Bakkies Botha, will definitely not be able to play against the Cheetahs and Bryan Habana is currently on his honeymoon and is therefore also not available but there is a slight chance that Fourie du Preez might be eligible.
Dr Strauss said on Saturday night that Du Preez’s chances are 50/50 and a call will only be made later the week.
The rest of the Bulls who toured with the Springboks in Australasia will join up with the squad on Monday. That includes guys like Pierre Spies, Victor Matfield, Danie Rossouw and Morné Steyn.
If they play Frans Hougaart we can rest FdP for another week or 2, we can bring in FdP as reserve on Saturday. But with the current players form we can do it against the Cheetahs with Victor to replace Steenkamp, Spies as reserve and off course Morne.

6. W Steenkamp moet so gou moontlik vervang word – nie tradisionele Bul slot nie. Speel eerder P Wannenburg.
7. D Potgieter – Bulle se CB speler v d seisoen en boonop goeie leier.
8. Wynand en Gurthro verdien krediet – goed gedoen na die lang rus.
Ek glo met Danie, Victor en Pierre terug, sal ons voorspelers die mas opkom teen Cheethas. Baie jammer dat Bryan eerder kaskenades wil hou. Ek hoop net dat Wynand reg sal wees. My 22 vir Saterdag is:

i think most guys on here would agree with me that:
1. most of us know so much about the game (and thus have so much more to consider) than you do
and
2. we mostly get our predictions wrong because we take too much more facts into consideration.

Julle Bul supporters is hard op Habana, daai ou het vir julle die S14 in 2007 gewen! Lojaliteit werk twee kante toe.

Ashley, I was very disappointed with the playing surface at Boland Park on Saturday – it was in perfect nick! Why you guys messed with your traditional home ground advantage by installing a new drainage system, I’ll never know…
