The Western Australia city of Perth is in danger of losing future Test matches unless more fans start turning up to games, Australian media reported on Saturday.
Perth has been staging rugby internationals since 1998, including matches in the 2003 World Cup, but an Australian Rugby Union official told the Sydney Morning Herald that a Test match between Australia and South Africa this month could decide the city’s future when their contract ends next year.
“This is an important Test match against South Africa. If Perth wants to stay on the Test match schedule, they had better show up,” the official said.

My maat Rudi Oosthuizen was ou Joe se wag toe hy by Sun City was, Rudi was hoof van sekuriteit by “Lost City” destyds….voormalige “Bat”. En soos hy gese het “Hey N… when I drove him to the airport after his last show, he said to me “would you mind if I had a smoke in the car”, Rudi said “no problem” and old Joe lit a big green one”…At his rehearsals Rudi always used to sit in the front row and Joe refused to start “until my big friend is here”….I always thought that was a lekker story!
