Today we received an open letter to Jurie Roux, SARU CEO, lamenting the fact that the design and production of the nationally important new Springbok Museum in Cape Town was awarded to a UK (English) design company.
A number of years ago I learnt and realised first hand how apathetic South Africans are when it comes to doing something for this sport we love so much, rugby in South Africa. I learnt that SARU can do anything they want, there will be a few muted murmers and a lot of around the braai chatter about how these fools run OUR game, but nobody does anything about it and eventually these fools at SARU just laugh at us… seeing us all as mere consumers of the game, not de facto stakeholders in the game.
Suffice to say that I am deeply concerned about how SARU runs rugby in South Africa and for South African interests.
Without further a do, here is the exact contents of the letter, take a look for yourself:
Here are the Super Rugby Team Sheets as they were announded for Round 12 of Super Rugby 2013.
Losing will not be an option when the four Vodacom Cup quarter-finals take place across the country this weekend. Durban, Cape Town, Nelspruit and Pretoria will host the top eight teams on Friday and Saturday in a weekend where second best will no longer be good enough.
Exactly the same eight teams that played in the quarter-finals in 2012, are back again this year. Even their positions from last year are almost the same. The Vodacom Blue Bulls “replace” GWK Griquas as hosts, while the Sharks XV, Steval Pumas and DHL Western Province will all host a quarter-final for the second successive year.
Blues (9) 18 / 17 (3) Stormers (Final Score)

Die beseringslysie van die Vodacom Bulls word al korter. Dit is die nuus uit die Bulls kamp na die naweek se wedstryd teen die Waratahs.
A SANZAR Judicial Hearing dismissed the citing of Frans Steyn following the match against the Chiefs which obviously is a huge relief for a team who cannot afford to keep losing players.
