    Did you watch the game, a shame Stevie couldn’t end off with a win at Anfield. At least he gets one more game to try finish his career at Liverpool on a high. Top player who at the time I thought would have been the perfect replacement for Patrick Viera but alas it wasn’t to be.

    Yeah, I watched the game… they were flat, i think the fanfare of the occasion perhaps got to them.

    In the bigger scheme of things the defeat today does not mean much though- nothing can take the 17 years of service, 709 appearances, 185 goals and 10 trophies away from Gerrard.

    The Kop is going to miss him for a very long time.
