    Ciao a tutti!

Was a good match… but now the rest of the day calls….

Have to advise the Family on the way ahead with Father In Law’s estate and those matters, so we have a gathering of the clan here at our place today and a clan lunch… and I still have some prep work to do after a good shower.

    Cheers!

I am glad to see that my eyes are not that bad and what i saw is shared by reputable experienced rugby jounalists

    Cheetahs fairytale ends in Canberra
    by Brenden Nel 21 July 2013, 09:57

“While at times it seemed they couldn’t do anything right in the eyes of referee Glen Jackson, their inability to turn pressure into points at key moments was what ultimately lost them the game”

“And despite Adriaan Strauss, Coenie Oosthuizen and especially Heinrich Brussow having monster days at the breakdown, the Cheetahs were heavily penalised by Jackson, allowing the Brumbies to win the game with the boot as they simply took points on offer”

“One inexplicable statistic was that from the 14 penalties given against the Cheetahs, they were penalised six times when on attack and in possession, as Jackson allowed way more leeway to the Brumbies’ loose forwards at the breakdown than he did the Cheetahs”

What an end to a GREAT S15 for the Cheetahs. Thanks to all those who supported us.

    My bloed is nou blou!

    @ superBul:

The way I saw it was that the Cheetahs were just too slow to protect the ball at the breakdown when on attack and guys like George Smith was on the ball in a flash! Hence the penalties against the cheetahs.
IMO the ref had one of the best performances by any ref this season!
Cheethas got drilled at scrum time and as good as Coenie is in open play he is not a great scrummager – but that can be worked on!
Brussouw: How can he NOT be in the Bok squad??

Go Bulls & go Saders for a final in SA

246 @ JT: Uhm, Coenie is an excellent scrummager at loosehead. Brumbies tighthead kept pulling out of the scrum, and they were pushing before the ball was in.

    248 @ Loosehead:
Coenie is a strange oke… great one moment, diabolical the next, consistency all farked. His mind and dicipline seems to wonder between that of a 6-year old and that of a fully functioning adult.

This past weekend he even scrummed somewhat like Dean Greyling at loosehead at times… right past his tighthead opponent, in stead of through him.

At tighthead, he becomes a liability.

Still a good player though, just needs to sort his shit out.

Brumbies were clever this past Saturday, they hit and pushed early at the scrums… and got away with it… you have to play what the ref allows and they sure did!
