Bulls (11) 32 / Cheetahs (0) 21 (Final Score)

The Vodacom Bulls hosted the Toyota Cheetahs at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria. The Bulls won in spectacular fashion but took a great risk at the end to go for the 4 try bonus point at all costs, leading with only 4 points at the time. In the 84th minute Francios Hougaart crashed over for the 4th try. The final score gives one the impression that it was an easy win, the fact are that if it went wrong the Cheetahs would have won this well contested match.

The Bulls have now moved to No 7 on the Combined Log, playing the Waratahs next, who is in No 6th spot, one point ahead of the Bulls.

Scorers:

Bulls: 2 Penalties & 3 Conversions Morné Steyn, 1 Try Bjorn Basson, 2 Tries Danie Roussouw, 1 Try Francois Hougaard

    125: lekker slaap.

    @ bdb:
Dink jy nie 4de is moontlik nie? Daai is n great spot.

  • 129

128: alles is seker nog moontlik, hang af wat die Stormers teen ons en die Staat doen.

Hello all, yip gbs must agree with that one. A super result for us and as requested before the game got the bonus point as well, wow would have loved to have watched the game live! All in all a good rugby weekend with the Super 15 results and the Sevens winning in Edinburgh. Even the games here went the way preferred, good wins for Saffacens and Munster. See the Baabaas beat a very depleted England yesterday with Tim Visser getting two tries, Tim is a good strong fast winger who has been playing so well all season for Edinburgh. He is Dutch but should qualify to play for Scotland on residency grounds, I think it will be sometime later next year if he keeps his form should be an automatic choice – remember this name. Another player who may be one for the future for England is the young Saracens flyhalf Owen Farrell, from the little I saw put in some big defensive hits at the end and he scored 17 points with the boot in their win against Leicester this in front of what is reported to be 80 000 fans at Twickenham and the boy is only 19!

Ja geluk aan die Cheetahs met ‘n goeie game.
Dit was ‘n klipharde game en sommer lekker om te kyk.

smallies – ek Laaik jou voorspelling kwaai !!!

Cheetah4ever – wat se jy oor my voorspelling van S.Ebersohn se skopwerk ? 😉

    @ Blouste:
Dag se Blouste klink my dit was ‘n moerse game gewees, sal bietjie later highlights soek. Weet nie so mooi oor smallies se voorspelling, as ons nou net nie teen die Force verloor het miskien ja, maar ons kan hoop, ek komkommer my net oor hoeveel games on top spelers gaan speel as ons die Finaal maak. Talking about Ebersohn, I wrote just above about 19 year old Farrel who showed lots of BMT to kick 17 points in the final for Saracens.

    136@ Bullscot:
    But look at his pedigree.

Son of a VERY big League star.

    Rugger is in his DNA.

  • 138

    137@ Scrumdown:
Yes you’re right there he certainly does have good pedigree. Will be interesting to see how he continues in the next few years, also to see how much game time he gets next year with Charlie Hodgeson coming to Sarries and Hougaard probably over his injury…
