Proteas selectors fired

Convenor of selectors Mike Procter, on Wednesday confirmed Cricket South Africa has sacked the Proteas’ selection team.

This follows Proteas coach Mickey Arthur’s announcement on Tuesday that he had resigned.

Arthur’s crumbling relationship with skipper Graeme Smith was reportedly one of the reasons the coach decided to leave his job.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) will officially announce his resignation in East London later on Wednesday morning.

Procter told Talk Radio 702’s Stephen Grootes that a meeting held last week with CSA bosses did not go well.

“Whatever transpired at that meeting led them to get rid of Mickey and also the selectors,” said Procter. – Sapa

    84@ R_P – We are using the SuperBru thing, there I do not have a problem… but remember at superBru you get halved and fractioned points for jointly predicting the closest margins ect…. Rugby-Talk’s own League functions a bit differently, so it is quite possible for the eventual winners to be different people, in fact it would be great if it is…. there is a prize for each Competition in the Super 14….

    I am definetly the most determined person in the world, Trips and Carol have finally got a picture i took this morning on Facebook but it came out double and in the wrong spot.

    Have been at it all day, was not going to move until i achieved something.
