SuperBru

SuperBruRound 3 of the Rugby Championship ended in heartbreak for the Springboks when they went down to Australia by 1 point in the final few minutes of what was not an entertaining match at all.

The referee, the yellow card to Bryan Habana, the failed touchfinder by Morné Steyn and various other reasons have already been dissected and discussed, so we won’t dwell on those.

SuperBruThis weekend sees the resumption of The Rugby Championship with the All Blacks hosting the Pumas in Napier and the Springboks traveling to Perth to face the Wallabies.

Last weekend we had the Round 4 of the ABSA Currie Cup and there has been some movement at the top of the Rugby-Talk SuperBru group.

The 6 Important games we focus on which are played this weekend, consists of the 2 Rugby Championship Test matches as well as 4 ABSA Currie Cup Premier Division matches.

SuperBru LogoRound 2 of The Rugby Championship and Round 3 of the Currie Cup is done and dusted!

No real surprises with the results, except the huge margin the All Blacks smashed the Wallabies by, and the fact that the Bokke hardly scraped their way to a 2 point win.

The Springboks have struggled in Argentina the past three years, but most pundits thought the Bokke would at least still be closer to a 10 point margin better than the Pumas, even on a bad day.

SuperBruRound one of the Rugby Championship is done and dusted, and it would seem as if the rain was the winner in both games.

Two players picked a draw between the Wallabies and All Blacks and are sitting pretty on 3 log points.

Well done Angostura and Charo, brave call to go for a draw and the rewards for bravery means a yellow cap for Angos.

SuperBruTonight sees the kick off of the 2014 edition of the ABSA Currie Cup, and more importantly, the start of a new SuperBru campaign.

Just a week ago the pool for the Super Rugby ended, and it turned out to be quite a dog fight at the top of the table between Blue Bird, Sharks_Forever, Charo and Winston Champ, with Blue Bird hanging on to take the bragging rights.

For those of us who were fighting it out down at the bottom of the log, don’t despair, today we all start with a clean slate.

Good luck with those picks, and if you are still deliberating, have a look at what some of the pundits and so-called experts have decided.

Sharks_Lover has gained ground on her after his yellow cap winning Round 19 and is sitting in second spot on 106.20. Winston Champ dropped one place to 3rd on 104.50 points.

Today is D-Day for 2 of the 3 Rugby-Talk SuperBru pools. Later today I have to decide, who stays and who gets booted out of the Rugby-Talk Six Nations pool as well as out of the Rugby-Talk Varsity Cup 2012 pool.

It’s late on Friday night, and it’s been a hard week… far too hard…

But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, tomorrow there’s good rugby on… and on Sunday too.. and as an added bonus Monday is Varsity Cup time!

The question is, are you prepared?

Is the biltong bought?

Is the beers, or in my case the Jerepico and sletsappies, cold?

Is your SuperBru picks done, and have you seen to it that you have been approved in your Pools?

In the case of the latter, make sure you are a registered Rugby-Talker, otherwise I cannot approve you in the Rugby-Talk SIX Nations SuperBru pool, or in the Rugby-Talk Varsity Cup 2012 pool.. or for that matter in the Rugby-Talk Super Rugby 2012 pool.

Come on, get cracking!

People in the Rugby-Talk SIX Nations pool who have not made their picks yet are: KingPaul, SuperBul, Bono, Blue Bird, Mayhem & Loosehead

People in the Rugby-Talk SIX Nations pool who have not yet been accepted in the pool due to non-registration at Rugby-Talk are: Stormy, Johnny Walker & Geniusboywonder

Friends, Romans, Countrymen.. and ladies, lend me your ears… or in Rugby-Talk’s case, eyes!

Rugby-Talk has registered 3 Pools for 3 of the various SuperBru Rugby competitions so far in 2012.

Come on, join up… and if you’re not registered with Rugby-Talk, just do it!

Registered Users of Rugby-Talk and selective invitees will be allowed to participate in these competitions, and your Captain and Poolmaster will be none other than grootblousmile for these competitions.

The Pool names and codes are as follows:

(Just Click on the links above, it’ll take you straight to the respective pool applications)
