Here is my totally biased view of the South African challenge. It is early and so much can change. But this is my view today.
It’s standing room only at the Last Chance Saloon as the Chiefs, Blues and Hurricanes all contemplate a quest for perfection in Super 14 campaigns that have been anything but.
If the Cheetahs were hoping for some charity in Christchurch this week, their best bet might be to take their guitars to Cathedral Square and do some busking.

Durban – Sharks prop Jannie du Plessis will appear before a SANZAR judicial officer in Bloemfontein on Thursday after being cited for dangerous play following Saturday’s Super 14 match against the Reds in Durban.Du Plessis was cited for allegedly striking Reds hooker Sean Hardman with the head and also for entering a ruck in a dangerous manner.
Du Plessis’s hearing will take place at the offices of the Free State Rugby Union at 10:00.
