The Sharks took on The Lions in round 2 of the Currie Cup this afternoon at Newlands. The Sharks won a nail-biter by 2 points… 19 / 17 falling in the process to 2nd spot on the Log.
The Bulls took on Griquas in round 2 of the Currie Cup this afternoon at Loftus. The Bulls won comfortably, 61 / 27 but the Griquas earned a bonus point for tries.
Western Province beat neighbors Boland by 50 points to 7 at Newlands today. Continue reading
It took The Cheetahs more than 30 minutes to pass the Leopards who took a early 10 point lead. After the initial 10 – 0 lead the Leopards conceded 8 tries and 60 unanswered points before they scored the last try of the match.

The Sharks and Western Province is already in the play-offs
Just one point separate the Sharks (45) and Western Province (44), but they still have plenty to play for in the last two games.
Both Griquas and the Bulls can still secure a home semi, if either the Sharks or Province slip up in the final games.
Vodacom Western Province suffered a setback when one of their attacking kingpins, Gio Aplon, was ruled out for two weeks after sustaining an ankle injury in the victory over Griquas at Newlands on Saturday.
