In a very fast paced 1st half, the Sharks secured their bonus point and in so doing secured the game. The second half delivered a heap of action but only 3 solitary points via a penalty by the Sharks.

A spirited Lions team came with a huge surge in the last 20 minutes of the game and absolutely demolished WP in that period.

The Lions eventually ran out comfortable winners by 46 / 28 and scoring their bonus point in the process and denying WP any Log points.
