    @ Puma:
550 – think someone needs to tell me what Chillie did that makes him a good player, cos i am missing someting here, so if i know what to look for it would help.

  • 572

    @ CoachPete:
I disagree; Aus scored 5 tries to 3. Either of these 2 sides could have won. Australia’s first win at altitude in 47 years and our first win at Bloemfontein since the Great Depression. A well deserved Wallaby win. The game was a credit to both sides.

@ CoachPete:566 – Well if it was not for Habs letting in those 3 tries then no don’t think so. We would have won it. Players had to play catch up the whole 2nd half. We caught em just to let it go in the last 10sec. But that lineout??????????????????????? Should not have happened.

Aplon should have started Coach, think had he started we would have won. Habs is soooooooooooooooooo totally out of form. Keeps playing out of position too. Putting pressure on the other players. He let 3 tries through. What a pity.

    Tjorts Pieta.

    Gooooooooooi Mielie!

    Hahaha

  • 575

@ Treehugger:571 – Treehugs, This was one game John should never have been taken off.

  • 576

    We disagree Old Griqua
Ahead but so much you should be able to hold off any comeback
    The All blacks would have

  • 577

    @ CoachPete:
Coach, check the scoreboard – they did hold off and they won.

  • 578

@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:572 – OldG it was a good game.

I will have a glass of red to your team tomorrow. Tonight I am drinking coffee….hehehe.

Very disappointed to have lost it in the end. But that how it goes. Celebrate this win OldG it has been a long time coming for OZ at altitude. They ran us off our feet in the first half. Habs cost us plenty. Aplon should have started.

Anyhow well done to your team.

Now hope my Sharks can win to lift the disappointment.

    @ Puma:
Puma gaan jy nou op n haal af haal nie af crusade? Wie weet wat sou gebeur as JS opgebly het, jy raai net en soek verskonings.

Die feit is ons verdedig swak uiters swak. En ja daar is meer as Habana om te blame

@ Pietman:568 – Piet, Cheers nice to have you back blogging with us.

Now off to the Sharks thread.

  • 581

@ superBul:579 – Don’t think John should have been replaced once we got onto a winning streak Super. Was a mistake to take him off. He had a superb game today. Don’t mess with what is working.

If Aplon started think it could have been different. He made a difference once he replaced Habs.

Now I hope I understood you totally cause my afrikaans is not 100%

Go to the Sharks/Bulls thread. Let us do battle there…….hehehehe.

  • 582

Yeah I got the score Take off the 7 points and boks win

At 31 -6 you should close out game in early 2nd half

  • 583

    @ Puma:
thanks Puma. Certainly was an exciting match. I acknowledge Habs’ errors were costly for his team and he’ll struggle with his bad form for sometime to come, but I believe he is a champion player and he’ll be back, brighter than ever and will make bok fans proud once again. As for Aplon, he is the promise of good things to come and I’m looking forward to seeing him run with the ball in hand.
    Enjoy the coffee, mate.

  • 584

    Habana cost the match.

  • 585

    @ CoachPete:
I certainly agree with you there; just what is causing the wallas to go to sleep in the second half beats me.

I’m off to sleep now – 3.26 am here. Best wishes to all.

    My opinion of the Bokke:

    Gurthro – Very bloody good
John Smit – Very good today, nice one John
    Jannie Dup – Not bad
    Danie Rossouw – Worked hard
Victor – What a game, what a chippie which made the Mossie try, great in the lineouts too
    Schalla – Worked hard
Juan Smith – Some good tackling, missed a few though, not his best game
    Spies – Absolutely absent
Francois Hougaard – Very nuggety, good day
Morne Steyn – What a goal kicker 100% record over 3 games in a row now, also took the ball up well, very solid
Bryan Habana – Worst Test EVER, worse than last week…. needs to be dropped, cost the Bokke the game… shoddy, empty, bad!
Jean de Villiers – Mixed bag, missed some tackles, knocked a couple of balls, played OK
Mossie – Good day at the office, ran support lines well
JP Pietersen – Mixed bag, was not good on defence, not his best by a long shot
Frans Steyn – Often out of position, a game he would want to forget

    Subs

CJ van der Lionde – No much of a scrummager
Chiliboy – Made no impact this week, would have been better if John was’nt subbed
Flip van der Merwe – Ok’ish, pity about that last penalty he gave away.
Kanko – Not much impact either. Between him and Spies we miss a hard-working No 8
Aplon – Made a very positive impact when he came on.. was definately better than Habana

    589@ superBul:
I think you’re rating Habana, Spies & CJ too high….

  • 591

I just give up in despair.

79 Mins Thank You Boks for saving my day.

80 mins thank you Boks for Farking Up my day.

In the last 10 months I have set aside 13 afternoons – 1040 minutes to watch you – I have travelled at least 400 miles to see you.

It has cost me at least £200 in tickets – Leicester, Saracens and Cardiff. Now another £85.00 is expected for the “Twickenham Experience” against the World Champs.

And you still fail to win – the most experienced team ever, 750 caps, against an ozzie team shorn of players through injury and playing in the impenetrable ground at altitude. And you still conspired to balls it all up. France, Leicester, Sarries, Ireland, The Ozzies, The AB’s, who next ?

When I saw Kurtley step up I realised at last .. that tache, the looks…. it PDV’s love child.

    I continue to weep.

At least I am in Poland next week where no one understands what rugby is all about, but I will probably meet another itinerant kayway or ocker with a swagger in his step and a chirp in his comment.

    It will be violent.

With these last two tests we have seen two extraordinary games. Congrats to the Wallabies, in the final analysis I think they deserved the win. What a comeback by the Boks though, this team has character. Yes you lost one in the last second with a great kick but remember you also won one against the British Lions last year in last seconds. What goes around comes around.

Smit played better this week. His catch from one offload was done by gripping, one handed the pointy end of the ball. How did he do that? Matfield had a game highlight to treasure. Not only was his chip ahead excellent but he delivered a perfect offload at speed for a score. Great stuff.

If the Wallabies continue to play like this next week’s game against the ABs is going to be something. Wouldn’t want to place money on that one.

This Wallabies team is going to be a threat at the RWC. Their backline is capable of cutting any defense to threads. Mitchell is back to his best. They missed Genia in the 2nd half & resorted to too much kicking in that half. Why stop what’s working for you?

As for Habana, well thanks for the memories son. Go away & get some rest, physical & mental, & see if you got anything left in the tank for next year.

  • 593

    @ grootblousmile:
Not to way off if you compare it to other ratings.
We need better coaching , hel our defense is piss poor. Conceding 22 tries in 6 matches at almost 4 per match, no no not good enough.

  • 594

    Axel Rose

    Bryan Habana

Your war is over son, go home.

  • 595

Morne Steyn is annoying. He’s too bloody accurate/consistent with his goal kicking. Does this guy ever miss anything? Maybe you Saffas need NFL rules in rugby, then you can bring on Morne when penalties are awarded. Bet this comment will have GBS jumping all over me, ha, ha. 🙂

I would like hear from you guys what the BOK run on side should be for the EOYT. Not the squad but the starting team.

Another couple of hours & I can watch this game again. Less excitement & more time to study second time around. I need to check out that throw-in that Coach Pete questioned.

  • 596

congratulations OldGriquas, they did well to come back and win it in the end… still a worry they could switch off like that, no real on field leader to calm them down..

commiserations Bok supporters, two last minute losses, always hard to take… I wont mention anything about choking either 😉

    was a great game..
