Hang on a minute!

We have read a lot and discussed a lot that our players are overplayed. The Tim Noakes’ and the Neels Liebel’s and other scientists all have their opinions and we have recently learned that the ideal is for a player to play no more than 1400 to 1600 minutes of Rugby per year.

I am of the view that these minutes are dependant on whether you are a backline, looseforward or tight forward player and also on your age and your proneness to injury. Guys like Bismarck get injured often, and its probably a challenge to even get him up to the 1600 minute mark! [Read More]

Super 14 form - Deon Stegmann vs Francois Louw, another perspective

We have had the privilage here on Rugby-Talk of an analysis of the rolls of Deon Stegmann and Francois Louw, done by McLook.

This has empted one of our Bloggers, Die Blou Kuberruim Wandelaar, to compile his own analysis, and because our viewpoint is one which allows differing opinions, we always give opportunity for such brilliant works to be published.

Thanks, DBK Wandelaar, here is your impressive piece:

Eating some humble pie...

So we were beaten, by the team that adopted the best strategy for the day. Congratulations to all my fellow bloggers who happen to be Bulls.  Be sure that this isn’t the end of the rivalry, and the Stormers will come again, stronger, better prepared, and more experienced.
