The Island players are certainly magnificently athletic players… big buggers, almost without exception.
The lacking general cohesive play (because they do not get to play together year round), coupled to maybe some of the world’s “Throw-away” coaches… and a general lack of their national funding capabilities… will always work against them.
They do make wonderful export products though, as you’ve alluded to.
