I didnt watch the whole game just bits and pieces the bulls backline looked awesome with vsn zyl playing well. and the last few mins through a window at the ten pin bowling. So i cant make a fair judgement. That penalty from polly was huge though. As well as the conversion from elton.

And every one is bitter when their team loses… But when you pretend not to care about the loss it definitely sticks out even more. Even when you try to sell us that this was according to the pre season plan 😆

Pre-season prediction…not plan.
Any away win (only the Goldfishleft) will be a bonus in my view. That’s if we can secure home wins from here on and I can’t see any reason why not. We left 22 points on the park today (at least), so, I’m not that much worried.
The Bulls and the Sharks won’t come back with many points from their overseas tour in any case.
Sergeal nPetersen was quite impressive for the Cheetahs. He is better than Hendricks imo or maybeit was just because he was hungry to play. In any case, Hendricks will have to lift his game to keep Sergeal out of the team.
Schreuder was his usual crap self for the Stormers when he came on…and Coleman led him on the crap path. Wonder where the Stormers supporters, who prefer him ahead of Cat, are tonight.
At one stage we lost 4 line outs in a row through kak throwing or miscommunication.
Now I’m waiting for Hondo and GBS to tell us what role Gert Smal played in the loss tonight.
Congratulations to Bakkies Botha on becoming the 1st player in the world to win 3 SR championships as well as 3 European Cups. Well done big guy.

Hi Nama no Toulon did not do the treble don’t believe what the popular press is telling you. They won two Heineken Cups and are the first winners of the European Rugby Champions Cup. It is a completely new competition that they started this season after dismantling Heineken Cup, new administration new head quarters new qualifying criteria they even had the final in a different place than it would have been had the Heineken Cup still existed. So congratulations to Bakkies for winning the first European Rugby Champions Cup, and they could do the double with the Top 14 trophy also still within their reach.

Wat maak dit saak wie was beter, Pollard of Jantjies… anyway altwee was ewe goed op die dag.
Jy kan Pollard nie hanteer nie, ou balsak… jy het iets teen die knaap… en jammer om van jou kak te hoor in die verband, want hy GAAN Springbok speel die jaar (as ‘n besering dit nie kortknip nie).
Pollard se distribusie om die bal vinnig wyd te vat vroeg in die 1ste halfte was meesterlik, sy skoppe pale toe op die aand fantasties (ook daai laaste laaaaang ene van halfway af wat die voorsprong net vêrgenoeg buite bereik van die Lions geplaas het).
Jantjies speel inspirerende rugby by die Lions hierdie seisoen… maar gee maar so bietjie krediet aan die manne wat beide kante van hom ook speel die jaar, Faf de Klerk wat spesiale aandag kort op verdediging, en Harold Vorster wat gewoonlik op Nr 12 speel en ‘n uitstekende seisoen het. Gisteraand was Howard Mnisi ook besig op Nr 12.
Die goed pas genoem dra by tot Janjies se hernuwing die seisoen, en krediet aan hom dat hy dit gryp met beide arms… en dodelike skopwerk pale toe.
Help nie om desperaat ‘n ou te probeer verkleineer en afkraak nie, ons almal sien maklik deur jou beweegredes, en gooi dit daar waar dit hoort, op die ashoop!

All teams are sometimes lucky that certain calls go their way.
The only difference is that a person becomes very verbal when it happens to teams that he/she does not like and fairly quiet when their own favourite team benefits from such calls
That is natural behaviour by the majority of fans across the world in all codes of team sport and you are no exception 🙂

Yep no doubt you are right.
But compared to other sporting codes like Football or even cricket the rules are fairly simple and black and white, even though those sports are not free from controversy.
Rugby on the other hand will always struggle to grow when games are increasingly influenced by 50/50 decisions. It is frustrating… but the wheel turns I guess.

So seems like the Stormers not only rely on counter attacks to score points, they are now relying on scrum penalties to be competitive.

I think by now every one knows the Stormers are a one trick pony that has one strength, the scrum.
The Cheetahs nullified this by not losing possession and thereby reducing the number of scrums.
It’s pointless if you rely on scrums to force penalties, but then sit with a kicker who can’t kick and a line out that can’t function. Means you can’t go for goal or set up a line out 5m out.
Maybe they will start taking tik skoppies like in primary school?
Or keep choosing the scrum option and hope the ref awards a penalty try from 40m out

Everyone was a Coleman fan last year.
There is no excuse at all, not the “he gets no gametime” “he has no prospects”
Cat leaves this year, leaving Coleman as THE flyhalf for the Stormers… surely that should be a massive motivator. His kicking has been excellent most of the year, he just choked on Saturday.
Did the line out improve when Scarra went on?

Line outs were dismal with both hookers.
Coleman is a 50-60% kicker and will not be the type of 10 who sets the world alight.
That can be ok if you plan to play a forward orientated game, but so far he has been costly not just with goal kicks missed, but also with poor kicking out of hand and line kicks.
A 10 who by now hasn’t mastered those basics has no business playing SR IMO.
Coleman is there to stay for as long as AC is the coach (end of season) .. his blind loyalty is legendary .. he is already making excuses for Coleman in the newspaper this morning.
Coleman is not a bad player but he is erratic and his temperament is suspect ..he will never be a Lambie, Pollard or even a Jantjes and I am prepared to bet that with him at 10 the Stormers or any other team will never win a super rugby title.
