Emirates Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has named his side to take on the Highlanders at Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Ackermann has made 2 changes to the forwards and both changes are to the starting front row. Schalk van der Merwe will start at loosehead and Robbie Coetzee, having made a full recovery this week, has been included at hooker.

In the backline, Ross Cronje will start at scrumhalf and will link up with Marnitz Boshoff who shifts to flyhalf for this game. Courtnall Skosan returns at left wing and Andries Coetzee shifts back to fullback. Alwyn Hollenbach has also earned a starting position at inside centre.

Kick-Off is at 15:00 SA Time (13:00 GMT, Sunday 01:00 NZ Time).

    Faf is rested and part of a management plan?

    That is just a politically correct way of saying that his defense is atrocious and Aaron Smith will run circles around him.

    Warren Whitely though is free from this “effective management”

    Till now he has played 880 minutes in 11 games, every minute on the field except for his yellow card.

    People are fine with with Ackermann admirably standing behind his players and backing them, but other coaches get laughed at…

    All coaches are spin doctors… no one is free from this not even JA, it is part of the game.
