Sharks CEO John Smit has confirmed the arrival of Samoan and former EP Kings wing Paul Perez to the Sharks.

Perez arrived earlier on Monday at the Sharks headquarters in Durban, after his contract with the Kings was terminated.

Perez now joins Michael Horak, who also made the move up the coast, to take up a role as defensive and kicking coach fro the union.

“Michael Horak has joined The Sharks as a defensive and kicking coach for the union.

“With regard to Paul Perez, who arrived for the first time this morning [Monday] after his contract with the EP Kings was terminated, he has joined us to see if there is a future for him at The Sharks,” Smit said.

    I think I read somewhere that his contract was terminated because he went AWOL for a couple of days?
    Maybe he was in Durbs when the Kings were looking for him?
    A midweek holiday of course, I’m sure there would have been no other reason 😉
    Or perhaps he misses Horak, who has also signed with the Sharks

    Pity SARU haven’t fired Hoskins, Roux and Alexander.

    They may have been at work in the last 2 years, but they haven’t done anything.
