I think it is different to me because I only started watching cricket in the 90s, so the Proteas always came first because I never even saw domestic cricket.

Kuiper was king at Newlands, as McDermot found out the hard way in that one game against Australia.
The quality of domestic cricket was something else in those days, we have good test and International players for the Proteas, but the domestic teams are nothing compared to the cricket played in the 80’s, was almost better than test cricket when WP played Transvaal
