Stuart Lancaster
Stuart Lancaster will be England Head Coach until 2020 after the Rugby Football Union decided to extend his contract.
Appointed permanent head coach in March 2012, his tenure in charge of the England team is now set to include the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Lancaster’s coaching team – Forwards Coach Graham Rowntree, Backs Coach Andy Farrell and Attacking Skills Coach Mike Catt – have also been contracted to the end of the 2019-20 season.

RFU Chief Executive Ian Ritchie believes stability is important in building international teams and said that starts with the coaches.
“We are lucky to have a talented, committed and passionate coaching group,” he said.
“Coaching at international level is unique in that the time Stuart and the coaches have with the players is limited and in that regard it requires a special and stable coaching team.
“We therefore felt it important to secure their long-term future and we believe this is entirely the right decision for the future of England Rugby.”
Lancaster took charge as interim boss after England’s quarter-final exit from Rugby World Cup 2011 and led the side to second place in the RBS 6 Nations, therein winning the permanent head coach position.
The stupendous 38-21 victory over New Zealand – England’s record margin over the All Blacks – followed in December 2012, before two more second place Six Nations finishes in 2013 and 2014.
The 44 year-old has an overall in percentage of 60 per cent, having played 30, won 18, loss 11 and drawn one. South Africa, one of four teams who come to Twickenham for the QBE Internationals this autumn, remain the only team he is yet to beat.
“While our focus is on the QBE International against New Zealand and the 2015 World Cup on home soil will be a once-in-a lifetime opportunity, we want to build a team for England Rugby that leads into Japan in 2019 and beyond.
“We believe that England Rugby is moving in the right direction, we have the right coaching and management team to do take us forward and are excited about the challenge ahead.”
Rowntree has been at the RFU since 2007 after first joining as England National Academy coach in June 2007 and graduating into Martin Johnson’s set-up soon after. He was retained after the World Cup for years ago, while dual-code international Farrell became backs coach in June 2012.
The final addition was 2003 Rugby World Cup winner Catt, who joined in September 2012.
Lancaster is delighted to extend his contract and determined to achieve sustainable success.
“It’s great that the RFU have got faith in us as a coaching group and its support has been critical to what we have achieved to date,” he said.
Great initiative from England….so we at least know for a fact Jake won’t be knocking on their door for a job.

There is only 4 teams that can win the WC, Eng has Lancaster, Wallabies don’t want him, NZ won’t even entertain the thought and it’s doubtful SA will appoint him again.
So doesn’t look like an international stint is on his horizon anytime soon

It’s a real pity – those 2 giant young locks were really stepping up. Elstadt and Carizza will have to stand up and be counted at lock. Elstadt really owes us a big end of season performance.
It will be difficult to replace Cheslin as well. Maybe they’ll move Taute to 15 – let’s wait and see. Pat Howard can stand in for Geduld while he is on Sevens’ duty. Fortunately Geduld and Senatla will be back for the play-offs.

I agree about Elstadt, maybe Rhodes will also have to stand in at lock?
I just hope Nizaam doesn’t pick up an injury, we have already lost Siya, but Carr is invaluable at this stage.

Yes IAAS I think Lleyds might even play this weekend but as far as I know he’ll not be eligible for any play-offs. You need to have played a minimum of 4 league games (I think) to “qualify”

Played FB for the baby winning boks in 2012. Was recruited to aus straight after that – been playing club rugby in Perth. Because of the three-quarter crisis, expect his name in the starting line-up. He’s match fit according to AC.

I just had a look at the WP U/21 side that played against the Bulls in the finals on October 26 2013. Lleyds was the fullback that day. He and a few other players left for Perth after their match. So he hasn’t even been there for a year.

De allende is probably seen as a back up player to the bench over mvovu because he also covers center hence only Lwazi bring released.
Geez. England extend their coaches contract and the whole thread becomes a discussion about midgets discussion and some lad that was transported to Australia and would be disqualified for playing for WP because he couldn’t pass under the outstretched hand of the miner’s statue at the gate of Gold Reef City.
IE. He’s too tall to qualify.
