Free State Cheetahs coach Rory Duncan has named three of his returning Springboks in his Currie Cup team to play the Golden Lions on Saturday.
In order to qualify for the Semi-finals the Free State Cheetahs have to beat the Golden Lions this weekend and also hope that Griquas beat the Blue Bulls at Loftus.
Springbok flanker Teboho “Oupa” Mohoje, lock Lood de Jager and prop Trevor Nyakane all go straight into the Cheetahs starting line up as they are not on national contracts.
Fullback Willie le Roux, wing Cornal Hendricks, prop Coenie Oosthuizen and hooker Adriaan Strauss are all on Springbok contracts so they are not eligible for selection this weekend.

Cheetahs only name 7 reserves, Lions only name 6 but state in press release “Meanwhile, in the backline, Howard Mnisi will get a start at inside centre. Harold Vorster will provide centre cover off the wood.”, then don’t name him in the team list.
