The FIFA Football World Cup 2014 is well underway in Brazil.
The Group Stages are already done and dusted, only 16 Teams remain…. well only 12 after this weekend!
In the knock-out stages, there are no 2nd chances, you lose and you go home. You win and you live to fight another day!
The Games start out on Monday with France vs Nigeria and thereafter Germany vs Algeria, both on Monday 30 June.
On Tuesday 1 July it is Argentina vs Switserland and Belgium vs USA.
The Quarter-finals start on 4 July 2014.
All of the games are live on TV in SA on SS3 HD, SS3 & Maximo.

USA nearly did a “Houdini act” right at the end….
The USA will rue that missed opportunity in the last minute of extra time. Their defenders looked tired from the middle of the 2nd half and it was only Gonzales who kept on working hard. Beasley and Besler seemed to go awol.

If anybody deserves a goal it is de Brueyne … it just took him so long.
40 seconds before the end of normal time, the USA had the chance to snatch a win from the jaws of defeat with a great scoring chance from inside the small box.
At the end of the 1st half of extra time they are 2-0 down with little chance of coming back.
It could get ugly for the USA if it continues like this.

What a game….. extra time was just plainly awesome to watch… the fitness levels of both teams are unbelievable.
Belgium deserved the victory but the USA was full value.
