    I see that Canada Japan game was a Pacific nations cup game.

    Yep, Tonga shacked Samoa by snatching a draw in Samoa
    Japan play USA next

    @91
    Shocked not shacked
    😳

    These guys don’t seem to be on the ball, Samoa and Tonga played yesterday already, but according to the schedule they were supposed to play today, lol, difficult keeping up with the Pacific Nation Cup

    93 @ nortierd:
    Which website was that nortierd? If you go on the results part of the IRB web page you can see the Tonga Samoa 18/18 from yesterday the 7th.
    I suppose where it becomes tricky is that Canada v Japan and USA v Scotland results are under yesterday the 7th because that is when the games took place where they were playing but our side the games took place today the 8th I-see-stars

    @ nortierd:
    That IRB page is also very good as you can watch clips of some of the games, for example the whole of the Canada v Japan game is there and highlights of Samoa v Tonga and some of the JWC ones.

    I also go and look at the IRB website
    Their pre match analysis is the best, although they don’t venture predictions, they give so much facts.

    I actually sent the webmaster at SuperBru a mail yesterday, many people haven’t picked the Pacific Nations yet, and with the Smaoa game only being scheduled at 03:00 on the 8th, knowing the result of the draw yesterday afternoon already, well, if people paid attention, it’s easy to go and predict a draw, or in the case of my one pool a guy picked Samoa by 1 point after the result, ensuring they will get maximum points.

    Your thoughts on this team?

    WALES team to face Eastern Province Kings:
    Matthew Morgan (Ospreys), Alex Cuthbert (Cardiff Blues), Cory Allen (Cardiff Blues), Steven Shingler (Scarlets), Jordan Williams (Scarlets), James Hook (Perpignan), Rhodri Williams (Scarlets), Paul James (Bath), Scott Baldwin (Ospreys), Rhodri Jones (Scarlets), Jake Ball (Scarlets), Ian Evans (Ospreys), Dan Lydiate (Capt) (Racing Metro), Josh Turnbull (Scarlets), Dan Baker (Ospreys).

    Replacements: Matthew Rees (Cardiff Blues), Aaron Jarvis (Ospreys), Samson Lee (Scarlets), Luke Charteris (Perpignan), Aaron Shingler (Scarlets), Gareth Davies (Scarlets), George North (Northampton Saints), Liam Williams (Scarlets).

    98 @ nortierd:
    Sorry for the delay nortierd, looks very much like an experimental team with some established players (Alex Cuthbert, Ian Evans, Dan Lydiate, James Hook in the starting 15 but many of the big guns saved for the Boks and who can blaim Mr Gatland as he already has so many players out injured he would n’t want to risk more injuries in the run up to the 1st test. Some backup though on the bench with the bigger names there – Rees, Charteris and North; replacement scrumhalf Gareth Davies has been doing very well in the PRO12 and Liam Williams had a good time for Wales when he stood in for Halfpenny against Scotland last 6 Nations. Don’t know much about the EP team so can’t really predict a winner although you would think that being an international team Wales must be favourites.

    EP teams are traditionally very hard nuts to crack for touring teams so i expect this Wales team will have to be on top of it’s game to achieve success.

  • 101

    Agree Rob
    We saw how they fronted up to the B&I Lions.
    I’m expecting Wales to win though, EP struggled even in the Vodacom Cup
    @Bullscott
    With the test only 4 days after this match, I suppose this is what can be called a combination of Wales B and C, with some of their A side players out, the test team will be more an combination A and B side?
