When Read was on the field it was a one way Test, that all I take from this test
The ABs’ backs could have easily scored another 2 tries in the 1st Half, poor ball handling let them down

  • 212

That did not come out right. Let me try again.

A couple of the Smilies don’t work, Namascara, for some or other odd reason!

A 20 minute journey turned into an hours journey as the weekend snail marathon with over 1000 entries oozed its way along the road all the way to my drop off point. I sometimes wonder why people enter races when they a. cannot run, and b. are clearly so unfit. The roads round here are so narrow that when some of the juggernaut runners come along, you need to find a lay-by just to let them past.

Well done AB’s, storming wine – England, you have a tough hill to climb between now and the WC.

Sell them some wine, while you are at it…. hehehe

I wonder if Lancaster still feels that they’ve “narrowed the gap”.

They did draw the 2nd half, not so? But rugby is about 80 minutes.

  • 221

So, what do we do till the Bokke game???

Hulle kan nie wen sonder Parisse of Castrogiovanni nie
Ek het Japen met 4 gekies, so happy met daai uitslag, maar Skotland het my totaal opgeneuk met daai last minute wen

220 @ Nama: I think Lancaster is a very good coach, and has a very good rugby brain and good at spotting talent, but playing some very weak 6N teams, and 2 matches against the AB’s, who were not yet up to speed, before this match, gave him a false sense of where his team actually was. This has been a very good wake up call for him, and he knows what he has to do now if he is to close the gap.

I didn’t see the second half, but it obviously shows that he is going in the right direction, he just needs to install confidence and some ball handling skills, oh yes, and brains into his team before next year.

I still believe it has the makings of a good side though, and they can only improve.

For the record, I think the AB’s would have hammered anyone today, with that first half performance.

    @ nortierd:

221 @ grootblousmile: I have a spare shot gun, you could come and take some pot shots at these elephants lurching past my gate if you like. They are very large, and very slow, so hitting the target shouldn’t be too much of a challenge. Hell, I doubt we’d even have to get out of the rocking chairs on the porch or even put down our beers to take the shots!

    @ Just For Kicks:
I agree about Lancaster and about Eng being a force next year at the RWC. I just wanted to illustrate that one should never write of the AB based on a bad performance (or two) by them. The Boks, for example, should rather look at today’s 1st half performance than the other 5 halfs (the 4 halfs the last two weeks and today’s 2nd half) That is the AB team that we need to prepare for.
