Super RugbyIt is Round 12 of Super Rugby 2014 this weekend! We have 7 games in Round 12, with 2 games on Friday and 5 games on Saturday.

The Western Force have a bye weekend.

In June / July 2014 the Antipodian teams will catch up in played games with the South African counterparts, when the South African sides sit out for 1 Round.

The Combined Log will therefore be skewed for the majority of the competition and one has to question why individual countries are allowed to start such a long competition ahead of it’s rivals. In 2013 the Australian sides started a week early, but at least they had the excuse that they needed an extra week in the middle of the year to prepare for the British & Irish Lions series, which they lost.

8 Responses to Super Rugby 2014: Weekend Teams – Round 12

Looking forward to some good games this weekend.
My picks are Brumbies and Crusaders & Canes and Tahs
Hope Blues continues their good form.
My prayers are with the Lions and Stormers…
and then the Bulls vs. Cheetahs can so easily go like this:
    – Cheetahs win – yes and? they started playing with ball in hand again – result expected
    or
    – Bulls win – All knew at home they are a different team and the young guys gave them the spark that was needed – result expected

    Gotta love this game

    @ Gena_ZA:

How can your pick be Brumbies and Crusaders? It has to be only one of them as they playing each other… 😕 🙂

  • 3

Not sure why we started early and sit out the last week in June. Are Boks still playing? If not then that is a great move as many of the Bok players will need that week rest before starting SR again.

You will get more right than me, but in SR 2014 that’s not so difficult
