Last year I took a bet with a fellow subscriber on Rugby-Talk and the whole idea of our own Prediction Game was born. We always brag or predict how many games other teams will win or lose. The idea was born to challenge you all to put your great rugby knowledge to test. This competition will eliminate the big mouths first and foremost.
Let me explain more…
This ARTICLE is the only place were you can participate and give your predictions. All Predictions must be in before 15:00 on Saturday 15 February 2014, that is roughly 2 hours before the first South African Super Rugby game of 2014.
This is a ONCE-OFF prediction game, you pick before the cut-off time, after that you just wait and see how far you go over the weeks. Once you have picked, the season will unfold and your wisdom will be tested. Rugby-Talk will compile a spreadsheet and monitor your progress or lack thereof.
Last man standing will be our winner. The prize for the winner, will be a gift voucher of R 1 000.00 from Garden Pavilion Garden Centre. This prize will be sponsored by Appelblaar Road Stall & Nursery in Hoedspruit, but will apply to any of the Garden Pavilion Garden Centres in South Africa.

What happens is you predict how many games ALL 5 of the South African Super Rugby franchises will LOSE and how many they will DRAW in the OPEN Rounds (16 games by every side).
The moment one of your predictions goes astray, you will be eliminated from the competition and marked as OUT.
The round in witch you took the dive will be in the Alive or Out column. The list will will be updated at the conclusion of each Round of Super Rugby in 2014 and the players still ALIVE will be indicated in GREEN. When you fall out, your name will revert to RED when the updates are done.
By simply selecting how many LOSSES and how many DRAWS every South African franchise will have in the OPEN Rounds (16 games a side), is enough, obviously the rest will be wins or bye weekends and do not matter in this competition.

Ja, ek moes maar werk met wat ek gehad het… sien jy die formaat is wyd maar nie hoog nie, moet dit so doen want ek moet die file size van die animated GIF beperk en moet ongelukkig in die proses ook fotos se resolusie so afbring dat die kombinasie van slides saam se grootte nog vinnig sal laai.

Ek sien jy dink die Bulls gaan net 5 verloor.
Kom ons stel dit so, as ‘n span net 5 of minder verloor, sal hulle bes montlik in die Play-off’s wees… as ons kyk na die ander jare se goed.
Elke span speel 16 games gedurende die OOP rondttes…. so mens werk maar uit dat 8 verlore, so ongeveer Mid-table sal wees vir ‘n span.

Yip, OPEN Rounds… if more than ONE PLAYER is still ALIVE by then, we’ll have those remaining make predictions for the Play-off’s, Semis and Final.
So, you predict for 16 games by every side (8 Local Derbies and 8 overseas sides are played by every SA Franchise).
