The Scottish camp confirmed Glasgow Warriors duo Tommy Seymour and Moray Low will require further medical assessment this week ahead of this Saturday’s encounter with the Wallabies.

Wing Seymour (calf) and prop Low (shoulder) are the most significant casualties from the match, while Edinburgh duo Greig Laidlaw and Nick de Luca will also be subject to further treatment.

Laidlaw, the captain and scrumhalf, required stitches in a cut to his knee and also sustained a dead leg, while centre De Luca had a shoulder injury.

Another seven members of the squad were also treated by Dr James Robson and physiotherapists Paul McGinley and Stephen Mutch for lesser ailments.

Dr Robson said: “Considering the physicality of yesterday’s game, our initial examination this lunchtime would suggest that the overall squad are in better physical health than might have been expected.”
