The SharksThe Sharks welcome back Pieter-Steph du Toit to match action where he will line-up for his first start in this year’s Absa Currie Cup campaign for Saturday’s clash with Griquas at GWK Park in Kimberley.

Jean Deysel, who was nursing a few bruises, has been passed fit and will take his place at flank with Jacques Botes retaining the captaincy for this important game.

“Griquas are a team that never lie down, we saw that against the Lions on the weekend, they had their backs to the wall at one stage but they just kept going,” warns Sean Everitt, Sharks backline coach.

“And that’s what we’ve seen from them in all their games. They came from behind against Province, against us too. They are a team that keep coming at you, they have big hearts and they’re very brave. We are going to have to really defend well and concentrate on staying within our systems, that is going to be crucial.”

Forwards coach Brad Macleod-Henderson adds that physicality is going to be important and believes that matching the home side blow for blow will be crucial.

“In the first game against Griquas we were maybe just a bit underdone, they played well and physically dominated us a bit. We want to make sure we are physically up for the challenge, it’s always tough going to Kimberley but we are looking forward to the game.”

Brilliant that we have Pieter to start. Though thought he would have come off the bench after being out for so long. WE do need him though for the whole game. Think Peet will come on later though.

Why for goodness sake are we starting with Butch? He had such a terrible game last week. Zeilinga was so much better and should have started.

At least we got it right with our front row this time, thank goodness for that.

Wonder what happened to H. Williamse? He must be out injured if not on the bench this week. He was terrific for us before he was out of the team last week. Thought he was being rotated. Surely has to be injured if he has not made the bench this week. Great player I thought.

Our loosies are a little light weight. Thought Deysel had too much to do by himself last week. At least we do have a better front row and also PSDT this week.

Come on Sharks let us do it!

Pleased for this game we have selected the better front row than last week.

We do have a good chance to win. That is if we don’t fall behind again at the start. Think every game that has happened to us.

    Okay back later.
