Bulls will win, even with their crap front row. I trust that FL will have a chat to the ref about the Brumbies scrummaging.

    All team sheets now up!

Just change Cheetahs to Brumbies GBS

Sorry, foutjie… thanks for the Heads-up!

Cant believe their isnt a neutral ref for the Bulls, Brumbies game, Brumbies have every right to be annoyed about it imho. Walsh will favour the Saders, but still think Chiefs will beat them..

    Brumbies/Chiefs final in Hamilton

Bulls where they are courtesy of being in the weakest conference 😛

    What you talking about?
According to most on another site Craig is practically a Kiwi now after the WC final.
    😀
See you and TR went for the Chiefs and Brumbies
You hoping for some upset points or do you know something we don’t?

    @ nortierd:
lol I think that shows the collective intelligence of those other sites 😀

I am wondering why we have a neutral ref for the NZ semi final (Walsh is Aussie after all), yet a Saffa ref for the semi final involving a saffa side?

    seems corrupt

    @ nga puhi:
    The ref choices are strange.
Steve always favors the home team, so that’s good news for the Chiefs.
Regarding the Bulls, it would have made more sense having a NZ ref, but they picked 4 fine upstanding citizens to officiate that game.
Salt of the earth members of society that wouldn’t dream of favoring the home team.
    😀

    @ nortierd:

Steve will favour the Saders imho, though he does like to keep the game close as it guarantees him more air time.
Nothing new about the Bulls and their appointments, I remember the wonderful work Marius used to do for them, they have grown accustomed to playing with 16 on the field 😀

    @ nga puhi:
After Jackson’s hometown performance in Canberra and Pollock’s pro Aus bias in the Lions’ 1st test, it would seem that most refs just plain favor the home teams when it comes to 50/50 calls.
At least it’s not Dirty Peyper or Japhta who will have the whistle, then there would have been reason for complaint.
Walsh won’t like it one bit if Carter upstages him in the ” camera time” stakes.

    @ nortierd:
agree about the home ref angle, have seen NH refs do this in TRC (3Ns) previously…really is destroying the game, time we had some uniformity from refs across the board, but that is unlikely to happen.

I actually thought Peyper went well in the Saders/Reds game, let the players decide and only called when he needed too… neutral ref so his mistakes cant have been construed as anything but a poor call..

will always have that doubt if it is a ref from the same country as one of the teams, question is, as these two (Walsh/Joubert) are doing the semi’s, does that mean one of them will do the final?

    Good morning / evening gentlemen!

SANZAR seems to think all refs have no Australian, New Zealand or South African bias… well it ain’t true.

In Craig Joubert’s case it might and most probably will work against the Bulls this weekend with Craig Joubert being stricter and penalising the SA side (Bulls) too much, to try and get the message accross that a South African will not blow pro the SA Team.

Craig also seems to have this “Two Halves” approach, where first one side is the one to just kak off, then after halftime the other side get’s it’s turn to kak…

The standard of refereeing in the world is shocking!

    @ nga puhi:
Maybe they will decide once the final 2 teams have been decided.
Perhaps then they will give a neutral a chance.

    @ grootblousmile:
    Morning
    That’s the truth.
I also think he will be harsher on the Bulls lest he be judged as bias.
It’s not just the reffing that leaves a lot to be desired, even the standard of the TMO’s are shocking!

    13 @ nortierd:
Before this season the TMO’s have not been that bad, but we certainly have had some shockers from them in Super Rugby this year!
