A fairy tale result for us saffers would be if the Staat beat the Bumblies and then go on to beat the Chiefs while the Bools beat the Sadists. This would mean an all saffer final. However nice that scenario would be, it does not seem realistic unfortunately. More realistic would be the Bools facing the Bumblies and the Sadists beating the Chiefs and then having to come to Roftus for the final. Even then the Sadists would be fifty fifty to win!

One thing though Saders do have to travel to Loftus and will play at altitude. So that is not in their favour. Still think if Saders play like this they will beat any team anywhere.

I think the Staat stand a good chance of beating the Bumblies. I am just thinking further ahead. If they do win they would have to go on to beat the Bools and then the Chiefs or the Sadists, all away. An impossible task for any team beating the top 3 teams on the road in successive weekends.
OK i will leave soon, and will take the morning off to watch the Cheetahs hoping they will beat the Brumbies. I like Cheetahs and have no time for Snake White
If we must play the Crusaders its OK, we dont want a undeserved cup anyway, we must be able to beat the best.

Sadists are the undisputed giants of Super Rugby. They are the biggest threat that must be nullified, the toughest hurdle that must be overcome, for any team to win the cup.

Well I will say this:
Whichever team beats the Crusaders will be deserved winners of this year’s title.

Superbul@145. Will do. At this stage-after a few glasses Pinot Noir- my assessment is the Saders main tactic is to keep,the ball alive. They avoid tackle ball wrestling and set piece. Keep on using offloads and pop-up passes to speed the game up.
Bulls will have to be very aggressive on the fist time tackles; making sure they wrap the ball up to avoid offloads and pop-up passes. Also they need to force more set piece. Don’t allow the Saders to pull them into their game; running fast pace rugby.
Get first tackles in and slow the ball down. kick the ball into the pavilion to force lineouts and to prevent quick throwing. Apply pressure of the lineouts and Scrums on Ellis and Carter and use the lineout as attacking option. Not just mauls of he line-out but also throw to the back and run at them. Create in essence fast front foot ball off the back of the line-out.
That is in short my view at his stage. I’ll have a good look tomorrow when the replay are aired and write something.
Reds did not pitch up today, their midfield leaked like a sieve… their forwards did not front up, their pivots were anonymous

would love to read it, i like your analyzes. In the 30 minutes i watched i got the feeling that the ref was overawed by them too, flat passes, hands in ruck and high tackles were overseen. Look this is why they look so awesome, they play clever to the laws and the lack of decisive refereeing.
Remember i enjoyed their game too. It is just my way i always question things going perfect

Well done Saders that was a awesome display of rugby.
Just not sure why they schedule one semi on a Sunday? Not fair on the team whoever wins there to has such a short turnaround. Again the team that has won today has to now wait until Monday to travel to see if they have to come to SA or to Hamilton. Both teams should have played today. The Saders could have started their game at 6am SA time and the other semi at 9am. Then both teams going through have the same amount of days to train after their travel. The team who wins tomorrow has not only have to wait for Monday to travel as well, but has one less day to get over their last game played. Crazy this schedule. Next year both play-offs and semi has to be played on the same day, that would be a lot more fair on all the teams that make it through.
