Steven KitshoffStormers prop Steven Kitshoff has been cited for alleged foul play during their Super Rugby encounter against the Brumbies at Newlands on Saturday night.

Kitshoff is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) for dangerous tackling when he made contact with Brumbies flyhalf Matt Toomua in a tackle.

The incident occurred in the 61st minute of the match, which was won 35-22 by the Stormers.

The referee, Glen Jackson, acted upon the incident during the match by awarding a penalty.

Upon further review of the match footage, the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play

The citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Jannie Lubbe SC.

    Jackson is die beste skeidsregter wat ons nog vanjaar in aksie gesien het,imo; hy het geen dramas en lang lesings en onnodige TMO verwysings nie en hy laat die spel lekker vloei.
    Party van die ander blasers is te veel in die prentjie….

    Die ref by die Cheetahs game was ook uitstekend. Enigste negatiewe was die feit dat Coenie vir Forrest Gump soos Stephen Hawking laat lyk.
