Toulon second-row Bakkies Botha will face no further sanction after being cited for a shoulder charge last month.

The former Springbok lock was called before an LNR disciplinary committee after taking out Montpellier wing Yoan Audrin without the ball during Toulon’s 51-6 victory over Montpellier at Stade Felix Mayol.
Botha was found not guilty of an infringement worthy of a suspension and is thus available to face Biarritz in the Top 14 this weekend.

Bakkies being targeted again. This is wrong with rugby today. Teams can use loiter tactics and tackling techniques to fall so that they slow the ball down for a second or two. Since referees do not want to do they work we unleash people like Bakkies to clear them out and show them that doing such illegal things hurts a bit. We miss you Bakkies!!

Bakkies also sent of against Toulouse last weekend, unfairly I must say.
But that’s just Bakkies fate, I guess, always the ‘fall guy’…
