330 @ GoBokkeAndIreland:
Thanks GBAI, such a close game but we’ll take the win. A pity for Ireland in 6 Nations in general though as before the tournament started I wrote that I’d considered them to be challenging England and France for the title, pffft we all know now what an error that was on France but for Ireland I really thought that you had brought through a crop of exciting young players who along the established experienced core would do well and after the Wales game thought that view had been vindicated, but since then you have had even more injuries to contend with, some of the good forwards were already out and then you got that trio of top backline players injured – D’Arcy, Sexton and Zebo, and no one could have thought that O’Gara would have regressed so badly. I had speculated that Ian Madigan who was added to the squad would get to play, even if only off the bench, on Saturday, but they went for Jackson and O’Gara and considering it was their kicking, both to posts and out of hand, that cost Ireland big time, I for one am glad that the Ireland selectors slipped up there and left Madigan out. With nothing to lose now surely if Sexton is not ready for next game then Madigan must be in the match day 23.

Scotland’s press conference, really enjoy Scott Johnson especially his response on the question about selections
