Toyota Cheetahs flyhalf sensation Johan Goosen is still under wraps! According to Hawies Fourie, the knee that was operated on last year is fine, but that Goosen is still experiencing discomfort with his left heel when kicking at goal. He will undergo a scan to determine if a hairline fracture of the heel may be the cause. If that is the case, he may only be out for an extra week.
Johan is still expected to be ready for the opening match versus the Sharks. The Cheetahs will be holding their collective breaths, because apart from Elgar Watts, none of the other flyhalves have impressed.

I mean he has not played since the Bok test due to an injury and is still not playing due to another injury??

Yes I noticed that. But I also remember all the missed kicks in his past, which is why I say that I hope he’s worked hard on his kicking so that the weekend’s performance wasn’t just a flash in the pan. In the same way that the Stormers’ loss was most definitely a flash in the pan.

Still think Graaff is the Cheetahs answer as back up to Johan Goosen, in the highly unlikely event of an injury!
Watts did well, but Smit is not the answer at FH, Brummer maybe battled in the 1st match versus the Lions, but gonna, it was such a mix and match team, who didn’t?
Anyway, he didn’t make the most of his opportunity.

Have you seen how I changed the articles you placed this morning?
Note the Headings… the name of the Competition, then a colon… and no colon at the end of a heading headings (you don’t see colons in Newspaper headings, do you?)
Also note the size of Pictures which precede the Article’s first character – must be Thumbnail size or as close as possible to it, please. I have to re-size ALL your pictures, every time.
Also check out the spacing in Articles… no needless spacing before the “Insert More Tag”, rather spaces after that (if there has to be spacing)… also removed the spaces right at the end of the Article, in other words when it ends, it ends… we don’t insert 2 or 3 needless spaces there.
I see these things in every article of yours and have to re-configure every one.

I sincerely hope that Goosen ends up not being injured all the time. That said I am very excited by what I’ve seen from young Handre Pollard. I think between him and Goosen we could have to great youngsters at fly-half and we could probably rotate them to make the load lighter and injury chances smaller in the future for the Boks. I know Handre is still untested at Super rugby level, like Jan Serfontein… But I really like the look of these two youngsters. They have that mental toughness Heyneke always talks about. Hopefully both makes their mark at senior level sooner rather than later.
