    87 @ Puma:
Hi man yes its not good to see all the injuries to Scotland players especially Ross Rennie’s which is the one that is definetely going to keep him out of the game, not sure how serious all the other ones are but hopefully they will be ok, am going to the game so want to see the best players playing hopefully Visser will recover soon

  • 93

    90 @ Puma:
I know we lost a batsmen and part time bolwer in Dumminy but even if this one ends in a draw you have to think Aus will be the happier of the teams they have already taken 14 of our wickets and we only took 5 of theirs – one a runout so over all not a good performance by our bowlers.

  • 94

15 overs remain in this test.

  • 95

    93 @ Bullscot:
Agree and we are lucky that there was a day lost due to rain otherwise they might have won this, actually think they would have won it had it not been for the rain. Then again remember how Duminy saved us at the MCG in 2009? He and Steyn together were magnificent that day. So if we did have Duminy to bat who knows we may have had a bigger total, he is only a part time bowler but normally takes a wicket or two.

Now we have to seriously bring back Tahir in the next test, can never go in without a geniune spinner.

  • 96

Even though we won in England and went to number one was concerned, especialy after the limited overs cricket, about the batting talent coming through in SA, it seems we rely too much on Amla and Kallis these days none of the new guys they tried in the middle order have really made an impact yet, had hoped for so much from Faf du Plessis but he failed to deliver then if you look further back guys like Colin Ingram and David Miller came in off the back of very good domestic form and couldn’t make the grade at international level – where are the next generation of batsmen going to come from?

  • 97

    More almal.

  • 99

    92 @ Bullscot:
Yes pity about those injuries to the Scots team, always like us to play the best. You don’t have the depth that we have here so not good for the Scots this weekend I think. They played well against the ABs even if they lost they still got over their line 3 times. Still don’t think Meyer should take the Scots for granted.

See Meyer will start with CJ AGAIN.. 🙄 Though probably have to ease Steenkamp in I suppose after a injury. Also seems that Cilliers then is only covering TH. Unless Jannie sits this one out as well as he rolled his ankle against the Irish, then Cillier will start.

  • 100

AB de Villiers should not be keeping wicket – he is one of our star batsmen who’s form has gone downhill, maybe for next tes bring in another guy to keep wicket so AB can concentrate on his batting and also reduce risk of back injury. AB is also one of our very good fielders so why make hime keep wicket? Not sure who is on tour they can use, guess if they want experience then Thami Tsolekile could play but think maybe this is time to see how Heino Kuhn goes – he can also bat a bit. So maybe they can use the unfortunate injury to Dumminy to sort this keeping and AB’s batting out… but I guess they will go with the ‘safe’ option of like for like Faf in who can bat and bowl a bit.

  • 101

Right Puma must go, have a good day man, cheers

  • 102

    @ bdb:
GM Bidi, The reason being that in Cricket the Sub(12th man) can only field, he may not bat or bowl,

  • 103

  • 106

    103 @ bdb:
    More bdb,

Ja agree there if Amla just stood his ground and they went upstairs he would have been in. Pity as he was well in and playing superb. So yes, if he was not given out and Duminy was still there to bat we just may have got 550 who knows. Right now it never happened and we just lucky there was a day lost to rain.

Tahir was very good against England bdb, he should have started. Yes also rate Botha but think Tahir might cause some grief with these Aussie batsmen. This should end in a draw here. Still a bit to go though.

  • 107

  • 108

We lost the test chap becaause we were simply arrogant, we believed in all the hype pre match, all the no balls etc that cost us wickets etc.

Thats poor concentration etc, the players are going to have to go rethink their attitudes

  • 109

    102 @ Sharks_forever:
    Morning bro,

Yes and I think that has to surely change now. Why we can have replacements in soccer and rugby and not cricket is quite daft at this time and age of the game. Especially if a player is off to get a op surely the next player in should bat, bowl and field? They have to look at it time to move on from these out of date rules. Makes for better test if we could have brought in a player that could be a total replacment. Bat, bowl and field.

  • 110

    @ bdb:

  • 111

    @ Puma:

GM Bro , unfortunately it wont change boet, it will only get worse

  • 112

    108 @ Sharks_forever:
Yes agree there not great to come in and be arrogant, we get our backsides klapped that way. Should just be quietly confident.

I still think Morkel should have had that 4th wicket though. How they can look over and over at it and say it was a no ball was beyond belief.

  • 113

    @ Puma:
He should have bro but there was like 20 plus no balls, of which 3 or 4 could have been a wicket? thats just not on,

Even this morning they lost a wicket because Pattinson over stepped, thats poor yes, thing is MOrne and Kleinveld are very experienced,

  • 114

    111 @ Sharks_forever:
For test cricket they should by now have changed that rule. Now look we lost a player before he could bat, bowl or field? Crazy, crazy that we still have that out of date rule that there is no proper replacement allowed. I know they worried about the cheating but really here we had a player that had to come home for a op? They need to look at this rule that has stood since before I was born….hahaha. ITS that old…LOL. Move with the times. You can’t play almost a full test with a player down like that especially if you going to use him to bat and bowl. Now we only get a player replacement to field? Its stupid and has to be changed.

It takes away from the contest really.

  • 115

  • 116

    113 @ Sharks_forever:
I do agree though, so yes we going to have to step it up for the next test. We just may have won this test who knows, but I think with the one day washed out it was always going to be a draw here.

  • 117

    115: en Philander

  • 118

I think when Duminee got injured and we were a bowler and batsmen down our whole demeener changed

  • 119

It is like the fight suddenly went out of us

  • 120

Pity we don’t play 5 tests against Oz. 3 tests just seems way too short, also felt against England it would have been great to play 5 tests against them as well.
