And we might just as well go to 400.

    Bam, slam dunk!

No, we should be happy if the teams played good rugby, not when one team won a match where both teams played shyte. Lets support the team playing the best rugby. How’s that?

Wonder of Willie nie dalk ‘n AB is nie ? hehehe

Ja dit gesien. We have problems with our coaching talent in SA. Personally I have been reluctant to support a foreign coach but now I am starting to waver.

Glad to see lots of positive comments coming out of what was for me an expected loss.

    Coaches, players, management?

It all starts at Grade 1 level. Until SA Rugby starts to look at the coaching going on with the kids, our top players will (for the most part) always be incapable of changing the way the game is played at the highest level.

A team like the All Blacks knew EXACTLY what to expect on Saturday evening, and also knew EXACLY how to counter and subdue it.

SA players (at Provincial and National level) are naieve and, to some extent rather stupid in the way they play the game.

Stampkar Rugby doesn’t work. The game has eveloved and requires players, AND COACHES to be able to think and adapt on the day. The SA National team, coaches and management seem incapable of doing that.

I fear that in 5 years time the same questions will be asked as have been asked for the last 5 years. Why do the All Blacks have 1 bad game in 10 against SA, while SA has maybe 2 good games in 10 against them? The question hasn’t changed in the last 10 years, or has it?

Personally I can’t see the status quo changing in the foreseable future.

Hard work ahead for Mr Meyer and his “team” I’m afraid.

Oh, and let’s not forget who the “owner” of the game is in SA. Surely some guidance, planning and finances to change the situation is needed from SARU?

Or am I once again too simplistic in my outlook. (Maybe as simplistic as the AB’s game plan?)
