By not going for touch with 10 to go the Tahs have confirmed that they don’t believe they are able to score another try. Game over!

    @ Puma:
Would be a great ‘revenge’ for Jake if the Brumbies make it to the top after their disasterous season last year.
Skopskiet and that 10 oke on Voldy (Gary10 was he?) will kots and tjorts in their Earl Grey teapots, among all the other JW haters down there, if the Brumbies pull it off, I am not fibbing!!!

Hope Brumbies go through to the play offs as I fancy the Sharks chances of beating them in Oz. Bulls also have the better psychological chance of beating the Saders in NZ if they have a good day.

Well if they top the log tonight (that could happen if the pull their arses into gear and get 4 try bonus point win), then if Sharks beat Cheetahs with 5 points next week ( will be very tough), but say we do and then go over and beat the Brumbies. Guess who the Stompies will play in the semi? My Sharks….hehehe. Think playing Sharks instead of Saders will be far, far tougher semi for Stompies. My team should have beaten Stormers in the first game, Lawerence blew us out of the park that night and they got a penalty on 80min so were very lucky. Also we smashed Stormers in Durban. The score line flatters them. Freddie threw a way ward ball and Aplon intercepted for a try. That was a gift. Then they had a blatant forward pass not seen again another try gifted. It should have ended 25 Sharks 6 Stormers.

So ja, let us see if we do make the play off and if we do beat the Brumbies. However, Chiefs may top the log still. Then Sharks (if we make it) to the play offs, have to beat Brumbies first and then head off to play Chiefs. Doubt we will beat Chiefs in NZ, another game we should have won was against Chiefs in Durban. We were the better side that night but came short, just. Remember there was a kiwi ref there that night too. Sharks have themsevles to blame for being where they are, but they have been unlucky on many, many 50/50 calls.

Jake and Mallet should be coaching our Super rugby teams in place of Plum and Mitchell

  • 109

    107 @ The_Young_Turk:
Agree. Absolutely. Why let such talent go for other countries to benefit? Bloody daft really.

  • 110

Well, maybe time to just go and install the kitchen tap mixer…. before the next game

  • 111

Tahs, go ask Federer – its how you play the ‘big’ points and that decision to go for the posts with 10 to go was a bad play and ultimately cost you the game.

All tight games in any sport test your self belief.

And that folks, is why the easy three pointer is not always the best decision.

    98 @ Pietman:
Is a pity Piet, because we should have won that game. We had a kiwi ref that night too. Really don’t like the reffing system, need to get back to neutral refs. Anyhow had we won we too would have been further on the log, but more importantly Stormers would be sitting top of the log. I thought the kiwi ref got quite a few calls wrong that night. But it is gone and dusted. We have now just to do what we have to do. Another thing I hope this tourney goes back to the old format. It is too long and should have been completed before the Winter Tours started. Now we just have to hope our Boks in our teams don’t pick up any injuries and they are not dead on their feet come the RC. Crazy this S15 format.

    Anyhow catch up later.

    111 @ fender:

At the start of the game you always take the 3 points once in the lead then go for it. Or if you need the try to win just put your heads down and go for it. The reason Sharks are through was because of just that. We took a chance last night and it worked for us. Got the 4 tries.

Okay now really out of here. Catch up later.
