The Sharks landed in Sidney, Australia with some good news and some bad news, good news being the addition of Patrick Lambie and Paul Jordaan who will both be ready for selection. This was great news for the Sharks as both players are very important to the Sharks cause, but there was bad news to follow.

Bad news to hit Twitter this morning is that center Tim Whitehead broke his hand in the Sharks epic destruction of the Stormers in Saturdays Super Rugby semi-final at Newlands and has been left behind in Durban. This must be really hard for Tim as he had been playing so well for the Sharks at center and has made a big difference since joining the Sharks. We wish him a speedy recovery!

There is no news yet regarding a replacement for Tim and no certainty that one will be called for;  What does however concern me is that there is only two scrumhalves and 2 Hookers in the Squad, and the question then begs what if a Scrum half or Hooker got injured in training?

Another face that will not be seen is Francois Steyn who surely would have made a big difference to the Sharks backline, one also wonders If the Tournament rules can always be justified as it robs the Sharks of a star player who they Pay for and desperately need, but it also robs the spectators of seeing what would have been a huge clash between two of the best centers in world rugby.

A clash of Sonny Boy Williams against Francois Steyn could have been a challenge of the highest order

    Morning all,

Congratulations To the Sharks supporters for a huge effort in toppling the Breezers at home. Heart-Chocolate-Gift to the die-hard Stormers fans, you guys backed your team, even though you probably saw the writing on the wall, as far back as week 15!

Now we need a supreme effort from the Tjarks in NZ, and then hopefully they will be on such a high, that they will alow the lesser mortals like my Cheetahs to kick on and win the CC lol Whistling Whistling

It would have been great to see the clash between SBW and Fransie. Surely this rule has to be changed just a bit to allow the teams that make the semi and finals to apply for a player to join the team if they do have players out injured in those positions? Not even sure if Paul Jordaan is 100% over his injury. Now with Timmy out injured we should have been able to put in request to get Fransie. Teams that play in the play off also have that extra game. We definitely have a genuine cause to apply. Though doubt it will happen.

So I think for this game we will see JPP once again at outside centre. Not sure if Bosman really should start at inside, though his defence was really good against the Reds. Is Pat 100% over his injury? Not sure either and he is not game fit as he only played in the first half of the Cheetahs game. Though he would step up right away have no doubt. His defence is really top class but here I really would have liked to have had a player like Fransie. Pity we can’t get him.

How is Alberts? Hope he is okay he also went off with a injury on Saturday.

Sharks are up against it with the travel, but think we can still pull off a win here. The players will definitely be up for this game. Just hope they don’t tire too much from the travel. Both teams should rest a week before the final. That way it would be a lot more fair.

Go Sharks. Really hope we can do it. If not still turely proud of my team.

They fly in a plane and do not jog there so traveling is just a press excuse.
