In a strange twist of fate Scotland and Samoa’s senior and U20 teams both set to face each other in the same week then…

What I don’t understand is if Scotland beat Italy and Samoa beat Fiji yesterday then why are Scotland and Samoa playing for 11th place and Italy and Fiji for 9th place?

Very confusing, I took the matches off the IRB site, but think its a mistake on their part. I am sure that it is for 9th spot, but they’ve got the times wrong. Will change it here, and hope its correct!!!

Hi JFK just checked IRB site they have it correct now ie. Scotland v Samoa for 9th and Italy v Fiji for 11th.

William Small-Smith out of the final with knee ligament injury. Dean Hammond from Western Province will take his place in the squad. Hammond was in the squad originally, but injured his hamstring in the last warm up match before the series started

Paul Jordaan also in doubt. Lets hope the selectors get it right this week.

IRB rankings changed with Wales now at 4th position and England at 5th. Arg and France also swopped places and Scotland moved into 10th.

South Africa closed the gap between them and Auz slightly

    7@ bos_otter:
Thanks for the update on the rankings bosotter good to see the Boks closing the gap on Aus, hopefully we’ll leap frog them in the next few months, also great to see Scotland back in the top 10, that win against Aus would normally have pushed us up far more than it has this time because after we had fallen so far behind after all those losses in the World Cup and 6 nations, think it was something like at least 7 in a row, so these last 2 wins have been really worth celebrating.

Slaapstad was fine… booked in there in Handbriekie’s hotel where she’ll be staying for the 3 days work thing yesterday afternoon, took a quick nap… good power nap… then we went to Mariners Wharf in Houtbay for a seafood dinner… finally had my way and had the Lobster I was galla-ing for!

This morning we had breakfast at the Hotel, then went off to the V & A Waterfront for a while before I had to go to the Airport.

Upon arrival at OR Tambo, I had the kids come and fetch me in the new Blik Met Wiele, which had arrived for me in my absense!

Tonight I’m reading BMW Manuals and booklets…. hehehehe

My Father’s Day present…. Van Pa… aan Pa! Heeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaa
