Western Province rugby player, Kitshoff, is one of a number of players that have signed with French Top 14 side Bordeaux-Begles for next season.

Of course, we’re talking about Rohan Kitshoff, the Namibian International looseforward, not prop sensation Steven Kitshoff….

Had you worried, did’nt I!

The hard-working fetcher represented his country at the World Cup last year, but has battled to break into the Stormers squad this season and has instead starred for the unbeaten Western Province Vodacom Cup team, crossing the tryline regularly in their march to the semifinals.

He will be joined in Bordeaux by Blues utility back Lachie Munro, Lithuanian lock Karolis Navickas and Fijian Sevens star Avenisi Vasuinubu who have all committed to the team which will will be managed by former France captain Raphael Ibanez.

Apart from these signings the club, which assured their place in the Top 14 championship for next season by beating Brive 23-9 on Saturday, have also managed to hold on to 14 of their current players including Argentine winger Rafael Carballo.

Phweeew… some Southern supporters must nearly have had a cadenza, when reading the name Kitshoff….

    Hehehehe

    I left a picture off on purpose….

    Hahaha

Come on Kickers, tell me you said “fark” for a millisecond or 2….

@ grootblousmile:Not even a millisecond, mate, sorry. It was pretty obvious, I am afraid. Strangely enough, I was doing some reading up on him this weekend, as I was wondering how he was hardly even making the WP line-up. I was wandering how he could have regressed so quickly from the World cup. People like Kolisi, Don Armand and Nizaam Carr have just overtaken him. So, sorry to disappoint on this one. Interesting who is joining him, Lachie Munro, Karolis Navickas and Avenisi Vasuinubu. Hardly going to set the rugby world alight!

Nothing like a good bunny chow for a bit of the old ring sting!

I’m not particularly fond of Bunny Chow…. but a good Indian curry, which burns the holy shit out of you whilst being spicy and nice… is great!

I like stingy food… good old chillies… not just for the burn, but for the spice, always works a charm

Well you certainly caught me out, as I read the headline I thought after all the times folk justify players leaving for greener pastures because they not getting regular game time, here you have a player who is getting loads of exposure at Stormers especially for such a young prop and he is still going away… GBS you bad man Congratulations

  • 13

Maybe GBS must apply for that Naspers job where they decide on the lines for the posters against the lamp poles, cause I also reacted that how can he & the stormers be so stupid to release him from his brand new contract. He sure has a great future for him in SA (and CT)- the ginger one. Pity about Rohan, but understandable.
