As previously posted, we have 5 pairs of tickets  (10 tickets in total) available, courtesy of the Lions, for every Super Rugby match to be played at Coca Cola Park this season.

Last week we donated the tickets to the SA First Aid League (Noodhulpliga) in recognition of the hard work they do at the Lions club games in the lower leagues.

This week we’re offering them to Rugby-Talk bloggers who would like to go along and see the game.

All you need to do is e-mail the answer to the following question to Rugby-Talk’s Webmaster using the link on the website.

Please note that this is a FRIDAY NIGHT game, and if there is a chance that you may not be able to make it to the stadium, we would request that you rather do not enter the competition.

We would really like the tickets to be used.

The question is:

Which Lions player recently set a new Super Rugby record for the most successful penalty kicks in a single game?

If you need a hint, check out the tags relating to this thread.

Good Luck!

The game is on Friday night… and the next game at Coca-Cola Park is on 24 March (after the Lions BYE-week) against the Stormers.

For 24 March we’re going to offer the 10 Lions tickets to the flood-stricken town of Hoedspruit… where SuperBees will distribute the tickets to the Lions & Stormers supporters there, at his discretion.

We need to give this week’s tickets to YOU… so go for it!

Well, 6 of the tickets have found homes…

Amongst them Pierre Malan, a pastor here in Brakkenjanpan…

Well done to the winners. Please tell Pastor Malan not let his Fruit fall off the tree when the ref messes up. Not like a certain blogger on this site who shall remain nameless, but was seen to be apoplectic every time the ref blew against his team at Ellis Park

    4 @ Lion4ever:
Pierre Malan (pastor) was a good flyhalf in his unholy days, chosen to play for Transvaal once, never played though because he never pitched for the game. He was a policeman and biker at the time… and full of nonsense at the time.

Good fella now, plenty kids… good friend, no airs or graces… tells it like it is.

Great cricketer too where he has represented SA in the indoor cricket scene. General good sportsman… plays some mean tennis too… and we give each other a hard go on the squash courts.

Does some really good work in the area.

PLUS he puts up with me as a friend… hehehe

That alone qualifies him for the tickets!

GBS, he sounds like a really good guy. Funny how the best pastors used to be hooligans themselves before they got saved. But the best of the best still have that naughty streak in them.

    He is a good guy.

Best thing is that I just go on like normal when he comes to visit… if I want to say “Poep” or “Fark”, I go right ahead and do it (I’m not someone who can be false and won’t change, not even for the Queen).

I’m somewhat of a confidant to him and vice versa…

Oh, and he often brings the BEST BOCKWURST CHILLI FOOTLONG HOTDOGS…. damn they’re hot but oh so good!
