IRB Sevens: HSBC Sevens World Series Gold Coast tournament – Discussion Article

The New Season kicked off for the HSBC Sevens World Series, with the first of the tournaments held at the Gold Coast, Australia on 25 and 26 November 2011.

Seeing as the times are at ‘unusual hours’ in South African terms, starting at the ungodly hour of 04:30 SA Time, was only have a lively general Discussion Article and not a Live Article with Score Updates as the games proceed.

Fiji wins the Tournament, New Zealand are runners up, South Africa ends in 3rd place and Australia ends in 3th place.

    @ grootblousmile:Yeah, there seems to be a bit more urgency in the rucking that seems to have crept into the game. We don’t seem to have it, but the top teams are really rucking over the ball, and committing more players to the ruck and driving over. NZ looked very adept at it yesterday.
