Wales flyhalf Stephen Jones remains in doubt for his team’s opening Rugby World Cup match against South Africa because of a calf injury.

The injury caused Jones to miss Wales’ three World Cup warmup matches and he has been unable to train since the Welsh team arrived in Wellington to prepare for Sunday’s match.

Wales assistant coach Rob Howley told a news conference Tuesday there was obvious doubt around Jones, who needs one more test to break Gareth Thomas’s Welsh national record of 100 caps.

Howley said “Steve has continued to do his rehab. He hasn’t taken a full part in training as of yet, and hopefully he will take a full part, probably tomorrow.”

Jones’ place will likely be taken by James Hook.

I wish Helkom would stop farking around, their ISP has been soooooooooooo kak the last few days…. eishhhhhhhhh

  • 3

Are any of you also experiencing the Helkom meltdown of the last few days?

I have now moved to my MTN 3G Connection… and the speed right accross ALL web sites is ten times better!

It seriously farks with my work… seeing as I download serious stuff over the Internet, and I cannot do all of that on 3G….

Jinne, wonder wie moet ek in die eiers gaan skop!

GBS, which 3G package do you have?

    4@ Lion4ever:
MTN, Mr MTN…. but I don’t use it much, about 300Mb of Data a month.

My bloody Helkom ADSL is a crisis man, I abuse about 24 Gb of Data a month… no music or movie downloads at all!

Just Software downloads, drivers, updates, Remote Administration, normal Internet browsing and of course R-T.

I’m what you call a Power User…. I need VOLUME and EXTREME SPEED!

Am on a 10 Meg ADSL Line, 4 Different ADSL Usernames (9 Gig, 5 Gig, 5 Gig and 5 Gig)… when it decides to give the max to me, but today and for a few days in the past week, http://www.speedtest.net indicated I had a line speed of less than 1 Mbps (Download)… Ping Test was OK’ish (18 ms)… Upload speed of a paltry 0.28 Mbps.

Can’t work like that man, ek wil in my broek kak as ek naderhand vir 13 PC’s wag en vinniger as hulle almal saam is!

Oh for the day SA has 50 Meg lines and fully uncapped and unthrottled Internet service! Our biggest ADSL package in SA is at least 5 times SLOWER than what the average household in Europe sit with… for virtually no charge.

Woo…this speed is so much better, excellent…..

    I don’t have a problem Devil

James Hook is the right guy to play against SA anyway….so there is no problem. Hook in fact wouldn’t be out of place in a Bok jersey….with his abrasive approach to the game.
