Currie Cup Premier Division cellar dwellars, The Vodacom Blue Bulls,  have received a bit of good news. The newly signed scrum half, Jano Vermaak, is available to play for them with immediate effect. This will most certainly boost the Blue Bulls, who are in the unfamiliar position of last on the Currie Cup Premier Log.

Former Lions scrumhalf Jano Vermaak could make his Blue Bulls Currie Cup debut as soon as this weekend after the Lions gave him an early release.

Vermaak has already signed a two year contract to play for the Bulls in 2012 and 2013 but was only expected to join them at the end of the Currie Cup season.

The Lions said after Vermaak announced his decision to leave them the Johannesburg Union that they would only use him if injury arose so he would not get much game time at all.

Vermaak was under contract with the Golden Lions till the end of October, but has been released with immediate effect and is available to play whenever the Blue Bulls need him.
