Hmm, Lions making the Superbru choices more interesting by the week.

Not sure that Baywatch is up to the standard of Rhodes at the moment.

Hi Scrumdown, that heading should read Hurricanes, not so? 😉

Great to have to consider the possibility of another Lions win away from home, isn’t it?

Sorry, One of those weeks already, and still far from over!

    Scrumdown, no problem broer….

Lions fwds. looking balanced, with some grunt. I mean, Wikus and Franco are basically two number 4 locks. Strauss and Minnie combines well. I would have played Whitely though tbh. Between Maku, Cillier and JC the experience is growing. Two good options at scrumhalf between Kockett and Vermaak.

I would like to see what that 10-12 combo of Jantjies and James can do. james have played 12 before, and I think Le Grange has most of his experience at 13.

Lets be honest, they wont pass out much to their wings. Maybe Taute, but not the wings. So as long as those guys are prepared to come in of the wing and tackle for all they are worth, it could work out well.

But I think I am being a bit optimistic. Possible but optimistic.

    @ Greenpoint-Gunner:
Jantjies / James was the 10/12 combo’ they played against the Highlanders.

James was his typical aggresive self, and with the laatjie running hard and (mostly) straight they actually looked ok.

Whether the team has enough in the midfield for the ‘Canes though I’m not too sure.

The Canes have looked decidedly shitty this year…. and despite Nonu and Conrad Smith and the other All Blacks littering that team, this is a game where the Lions should target a win… and a good one at that.

Will we see the Lions rise to the occasion or will we finally see the Canes clicking as a unit?

Not an easy pick to make… and I’ll not easily pick in favour of the Lions, when I did earlier in the season, they cost me on Bru… big time!

    @ grootblousmile:
They cost me big against the Brumbies and the ‘Landers.

F All consistency will do that I guess, but I still reckon it’ll be very difficult for them on Sat’.

Between the Rhodes affair and the “sexual assault” BS you can never guess where the minds might be.

Could go either way but I reckon ‘Canes by a handful.

    @ Scrumdown:

thanks SD. I don’t get to watch or follow as many of the games as I would like to.

On the point of the Hurricanes… they haven’t fired at all this year.

And, correct me if I am wrong, but the Canes have lost to the Bulls, NARROWLY beat the Cheetahs, and lost against the Sharks. They probably would have lost to the Stormers as well. Not going too well for them against the SA teams.
But I think me might be getting ahead of ourselves a bit.
